In 1943 three Allied leaders met in Germany to talk about what to do with the Axis Powers. Only three people agreed that Japan should surrender no matter what. Also that Germany should be split into four sections and each would be ruled by a different place, such as the Soviet Union, France, Britain, and the U.S. The people who agreed were U.S. President Harry Truman, Joseph Stalin, and Prime Minister Winston Churchill. One the other hand the Allied leaders did not agree. The Soviet Union already gave freedom to many East European nations, from the Nazi ruling near the end of the war. Joseph wanted to take over these nations, that are on the West side of the border. The Allied disagreed again, because they thought that the Soviet Union would push communism on the other nations. The conflict between the governments and communism ended in a Cold War.
